BADESI AND AROUND
Driving along the road between Castelsardo to Santa Teresa di Gallura, you come across the lovely small village of BADESI nestled into a hill overlooking the Gulf of Asinara. It has about 1,850 residents and in a convenient location enabling visitors to enjoy many other major tourist destinations, such as: Alghero, Castelsardo, Costa Paradiso, Santa Teresa di Gallura and Costa Smeralda, all of which are less than an hour's drive away.
The landscape is characterized by lush Mediterranean vegetation that slopes down to crystal clear waters and a pristine, white sandy beach, one of the longest in Sardinia.
Summer evenings are enlivened by small demonstrations taking place in either: the main square, the promenade at the beach, or the municipal amphitheater, where evenings of music, dance and the typical Sardinian summer carnival, are all organized for visitors to spend their evenings after a sunny day at the beach.
There are a number of organized excursions that, with a short bus or boat ride, enable visitors to experience the natural beauty of Northern Sardinia.
